Bishop Donald H. Butler

Bishop Donald H. Butler has dedicated his life to serving the needs of others through his local church ministry, outreach ministry, and evangelistic ministry. Bishop Butler is a mentor, teacher, and preacher to pastors and leaders.

Bishop Butler became a licensed minister of the Church of God In Christ in June 1982. From 1982 to 1984 he served as Assistant Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, and Choir Director of Gospel Temple COGIC under the leadership of the late Elder James Mabon. Bishop Butler served as a radio broadcast minister with the Missionettes Christian Crusade and Director of the Jesus Is the Answer Television Ministries. After marrying his wife Yolanda in September 1984, Bishop Butler was able to effectuate God's plan for him as a pastor.

Bishop Butler became the Founder and Senior Pastor of Praise Center Church, established on November 10, 1984, in Bishop Butler's brother's home in Compton, California. Services were held there until July 1986 when Praise Center Church moved to West Compton, California. Bishop Butler would later receive his ordination certification in July 1985, and theological training through International Seminary, Plymouth, Florida.

In 1995 Praise Center Church relocated to East Compton, merged with East Compton Church of God in Christ, and changed its name to Praise Center of East Compton Church of God in Christ. Bishop Butler received his ordination certification as Elder and Pastor under Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake that same year. In 2005, Praise Center made a leap of faith and relocated to Carson, California to a 10,000-square-foot building, changing its name to Praise Center Community Church. In November 2006, the Lord changed the assignment of Bishop Butler and Praise Center and relocated the ministry from California to Texas on January 1, 2008.

On April 3, 2009, Bishop Butler established Kingdom Covenant Ministries in response to the pastors and leaders who sought a personal covering for accountability, training, resources, and assistance in becoming solid and self-supporting ministries fully capable of fulfilling their purpose for the Kingdom. Embracing the Four Corners Ministry philosophy, Bishop Butler through KCM is dedicated to training, educating, and mentoring individuals who have a call upon their life and desire for someone to walk alongside them until they can walk on their own. KCM seeks to fulfill the call that no church go left untouched.

Bishop Butler was consecrated as the Presiding Bishop of Kingdom Covenant Ministries on October 9, 2009, by the late Bishop Walter Chentlen of North Carolina.

Bishop's Kingdom mandate and assignment are to re-ignite the fire of Pentecost in the church worldwide and prepare the Body of Christ for the Bridegroom--the King!

Bishop and Dr. Butler are the proud parents of two children and eight grandchildren, whom they absolutely adore, and are the spiritual parents to chosen sons and daughters in the Gospel.
